Building a prescribed fire program requires more than a single course, this is why this program was developed. It takes a complete foundation that connects planners, monitors, and igniters into one coordinated team.
This 2-week intensive program delivers exactly that. Participants move step by step from fire behaviour science (S-390) into developing Fuel Management Prescriptions, through fire monitoring frameworks, and finally into ignition skills with S-219 Firing Operations. By the end, every role is covered from writing defensible plans to safely applying fire on the ground and monitoring outcomes.
As an added benefit, students who complete this program receive 20% off RX-310 Introduction to Fire Effects and S-211 Fire Weather for Prescribed Fire, making it the perfect professional pathway to deepen skills and prepare participants for the program.
